About Our Pro

Our Golf Pro Tom Borden has been a Class A member of the PGA of America for 20 years, and has taught golf for 25 plus years. First introduced to golf by his father at the early age of 4 or 5, Tom has been a student of the game for over 40 years. Born and raised in Keene NH, he attended the University of Tampa in Tampa, FL. Tom started his professional golf career as a PGA apprentice at Anderson Country Club in Anderson, Indiana, under Daniel Losey. Tom returned to Keene to complete his apprenticeship under Lyman Doane, then Head Golf Professional of the Shattuck Golf Club. He has taught and promoted the game through national programs like Get Golf Ready, PGA Sports Academy, and PGA Jr. League in the Monadnock Region for the past 21 years.

Lessons at the Shattuck

Tom’s philosophy is to keep it simple with solid basic fundamentals grip, stance, ball position and alignment. He believes the most important part of the swing is the club face at impact. Tom incorporates the use of 3D motion analysis and video to help students reach their goals. As a Level 2 certified K-Vest Instructor Tom enjoys player development, creating new players, and teaching all ages and abilities.
